UNF inserts

Manufactured from austenitic stainless steel wire, inserts provide a high performance internal thread that:

  • exceeds the strength of most parent materials
  • maintains bolt tension under severe vibration conditions
  • is corrosion resistant, preventing adverse seizing and galling
  • is wear resistant, virtually eliminating friction-induced thread erosion
  • is lightweight without sacrificing thread strength
  • withstands temperatures ranging from -200°C to +425°C

UNF inserts will suit a tapped hole to BS3409 and finished thread to BS1580.
